Hey guys.

This short film is 20 minutes well spent. But if you don’t want to watch in its entirety, just watch from 8:55 to 10:45, and 13:35 to 15:35.

Side note for my fellow country loving folks… I love my cowgirl boots, country music and dirt roads, believe me. But I can’t help but wonder when people talk about/post photographs of that black exhaust from their diesel trucks… how much they actually know about the stress that puts on the Earth’s paper thin, fragile atmosphere… Or do they care enough to find out?

Some things I know.

I know these acne scars on the sides of my face aren’t that nice to look at. I know I don’t have a flat stomach or perfect abs. I know the faint scars on my forearm will remind you I once had a few hard years. I know I can be impatient at times. I know I’m not very good at cooking. I know I am mostly always entirely clumsy and awkward. I know I don’t understand the rules of football. I know that I worry often, and about a lot of things. I know that I’m not one of those girls that looks breathtakingly beautiful when she wakes up in the morning. I know I can be indecisive, especially when it comes to picking restaurants. I know I won’t sleep with you unless you’re dating me, and just me. I know sometimes I’m stubborn and may not always like to admit when you are right.

I know all these things.

But I also know that I am loyal. I know that hard times only lead to becoming a stronger person. I know I would take care of you when you needed taking care of. I would do my best to constantly make you smile and laugh, especially when you’re having a bad day. I would watch a football game with you, even if I didn’t totally know what was going on. I would try to make you an awesome dinner, even if it ended up with us ordering a pizza. I’d get over my stubbornness in a fight because I wouldn’t want to go that long without kissing you. I’d want you, even with imperfections of your own.

But the people I meet don’t seem interested in much more than a hook up, or someone to text when they’re drunk. So I don’t get the chance to show anyone that other side of me… the part beyond the imperfections. So this life goes on, and at the end of the day I still am quite happy, and I’m enjoying this adventure of a life.

But I’m enjoying it without somebody by my side.

And the only thing I don’t know… is why.
